Walter Payne 56, of St. Joseph, MO passed away Tuesday February 5, 2013 at his home. He was born November 7, 1956 in Wichita Falls, Texas son of Virginia (Oates) & James Payne. He worked at Walmart and served in the Navy. He was a devoted father and coin collector. Walter was preceded in death by parents and a sister, Patricia Seabolt. He is survived by his ex-wife, April Payne of the home, sons, Tavan, Masan and Prestan Payne of the home, Walter Payne Jr. of Wichita Falls, TX, two daughters, Kristy Payne of Archer City, TX and Jenny (Embrey) Caraballo, brothers, Mikie Payne, Billy Payne and Terry Payne all of Wichita Falls, TX, sisters, Tammy Massey of Brownwood, TX, Kelly Payne of Hobbs, NM, Debi Peeler and Tracy Payne both of Wichita Falls, TX and Stacey Tuttle of Houston, TX and his father and mother in law, George & Carmen Clinton, St. Joseph, MO and his extended family and friends. A Memorial service will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Callison Hall, 1222 South 10th Street, St. Joseph, MO. He will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.
