In a recent interview with Exclaim!, Die Antwoord’s Ninja seemed to say that the South African group would come to an end in September 2017. “Die Antwoord dies on that day,” he said. “It’s all over. I feel beautiful about it. I’m not scared of the end. I’m a Ninja. I'm not scared of death.” Yolandi Visser has hit back at those reports in the below Instagram post titled “DIE ANTWOORD IS NOT BREAKING UP.” She wrote that the article “twisted our words an took what we said completely out of context.” She continued, addressing the breakup report as a “lie” and clarified that, “All we said was next year we will be working on our 5th final DA album & then continue to shoot a DA feature film. DIE ANTWOORD FOR EVA.”

Following Visser’s comments, Exclaim! has shared the entire transcript from their interview with Die Antwoord. The transcript shows that Ninja said the duo’s next album is out September 2017. Later, he said that since becoming Ninja for Die Antwoord, he has left the normal world; he will return, he said, in September 2017. When the interviewer asked what happens after that month, he responded, “Secrets, secrets, secrets, I’m not telling you. We’re doing South African Ninja right after that and all these other things we’ve got cooking, these little secret motherfuckin’ projects.” Ninja was then asked, “So, are they going to be Die Antwoord projects?” He answered: “You weren’t listening, young man. Die Antwoord dies on that day. It’s all over.” Read the transcript here.
