Mike Mays
My son saw this wrasse at the LFS and can't find any info (other than this pic) online. Any help would be great.
Drew Mendez WTR
Could that be a gulf coast wrasse? My cousin has a Gulf ID guide, the specking looks kinda like those bass/perch but the face and eyes scream wrasse.
Derek
Looks like a hybrid. Based on the facial markings I would say it is same family as the radiant wrasse. I would say it is reef safe but would eat some ornamental shrimp like sexy shrimp.
All WYSIWYG
I would say it is reef safe but would eat some ornamental shrimp like sexy shrimp. Yep +
Derek
I'd say go for it. They tend to be voracious flatworm eaters.
JamesL
Here you go, the scientific name of your fish is Halichoeres nebulosus: http://www.thatpetplace.com/Halichoeres-nebulosus-wrasse-217818 Basically like everyone says ... reef safe, with the caveat of probably eating small shrimp. Derek
Look at that. Can I get a thumbs up on calling that reef compatibility!? Bam! I like the name of it. "Nebulous Wrasse". It sounds like it is a puff of smoke.
