Gareth Pugh S/S 2015
A capsule collection developed for Gareth Pugh womenswear S/S 2015. The concept behind this capsule is based on the deconstruction of high technology, technology error (Glitch) and glitch art. Glitch art is gradually being accepted by artists. It is oringinally a technology error appears randomly, however, some artists applied its feature and used it for transition in the film. A lot of product designs and many different forms of art have glitch features in them as well. Decontructing high technology takes the idea of glitch, and reconstruct the pieces into the garments. This is the main idea of this collection. Gareth Pugh is known for his futuristic asthetic and very geometric shapes. So with that in mind I tried to incorporate the concept of "deconstruction of high tech" into this collection. For the sketches too, I approached it in the sense of technology, very straight lines and very graphic feelings. Throughout the process, my ultimate focus was to create a collection for Gareth Pugh in such a sense that they fit in the modern and future world that technology will bring us in life.
