Mike Boynton and company have landed the services of transfer for Kansas Bryce Thompson.

Oklahoma State was on Thompson’s radar during his original recruitment in 2019. And was in the running for where Thompson would land following his transfer from KU alongside OU and Tulsa.

Thompson averaged 4.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 35.3% from the field this past season with the Jayhawks. He had NCAA tournament experience too as he got some minutes due to a depleted KU roster towards the end of the 2020 season.

Thompson was a McDonald’s All American out of high school and there was a lot of hype around what he was supposed to be for KU. Hopefully, the Oklahoma State staff can get him back to the level he was playing at in high school.

Thompson will have the opportunity to be a key part of the Oklahoma State offense during his time at Oklahoma State. With the extra year of eligibility because of Covid, Thompson will have 4 years remaining.
