Teresa "Tracy" G. Payne

Teresa G. “Tracy” Payne, 50, of Pomeroy, went home to be with the Lord at 11:03 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at her home. Born September 11, 1972, in Columbus, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Richard “Deke” and Zelma Gilmore. Tracy was an angel on earth and was a very happy young lady. She loved playing with her toys and being with her family. She had a smile that would light up an entire room.

Tracy is survived by many family members that loves her so much, caregivers Jessyca (Jeremy) Barnette and Halley Barnette. Her biological mother Bonnie Payne and brother, Erick Payne, an aunt, Kaaron Pickens that helped to take care of her anyway she could. Her cousins, Sarah (Aaron) McCombs, Hanna Barnette, Leia Chadwell, that loved Tracy as a sister, and Thomas Barnette. Tracy is an aunt to many nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

 Tracy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Zelma Gilmore, favorite uncle Richard “Rick” Gilmore, cousin, Corey Hatfield whom she loved to play with, a brother, Scott Payne, and nephew, Michael Ratliff.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Pomeroy. Officiating will be Larry Young. Interment will be in the Rocksprings Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
