  • Papers outlining the case have been lodged at Manhattan Federal Court

A former Playboy playmate of the month who married an NFL star and appeared in a Justin Timberlake music video is suing a New York strip club who used her image to promote their venue without her permission.

Jennifer Walcott Archuleta is one of more than 20 models who accuse three strip clubs in New York and New Jersey of using their images without their permission.

Mrs Archuleta is married to former NFL star Adam Archuleta who played for the Washington Redskins.

The models allege that the clubs have injured their reputations 'to an amount to be determined at trial' but not less than $75,000 each.

According to papers lodged at Manhattan Federal Court, Mrs Archuleta's legal team claims her image was used 'to promote Stiletto Nanuet on its Twitter page'.

'This Image depicts Archuleta in a sexually suggestive outfit, and was intentionally altered in order to make it appear that Archuleta was either a stripper working at Stiletto Nanuet, or that she endorsed the Club.'

Each of the other models involved in the case make similar allegations.

According to the court documents, the clubs are accused of 'doctoring' images of each of the women to make it look like they either worked at or endorsed the individual clubs.

As a result, the case claims that each of the women has been exposed to 'hatred, shame, obloquy, contumely, odium, contempt, ridicule, aversion, ostracism, degradation, or disgrace, and/or could induce an evil opinion' in the minds of 'right-thinking people.

The case also claims that each of the women could be deprived 'of confidence and friendly intercourse in society'.

Also the court documents claim that the use of the images portrays each of the women as a stripper and 'imputes unchastity to her'.

The women are also seeking punitive damages, all their legal costs and 'other and further relief as the Court may deem just and proper'.

One of the women, Cora Skinner, discovered her image had been used to promote Stiletto Nanuet on its Twitter page.

According to the court document: 'This Image depicts Skinner in a sexually suggestive costume and was intentionally altered to make it appear that Skinner was either a stripper working at Stiletto Nanuet, or endorsed Stiletto Nanuet.

'This false impression was bolstered by the copy above Skinner’s picture, which reads: “It’s #MardiGras2014!!! Grab a drink at @laceclubsny, then come get your zipper polished at Stiletto :)”.

'Obviously the intention of this copy was not only to make it appear that Skinner worked at Stiletto, but that she was available to potential clientele should they desire to have their “zipper polished”.'

The women are suing Diamond Club Gentleman's cabaret, Lace Gentleman's Club, Lace Entertainment, Lace Gentleman's Club and Stiletto Entertainment.
