Emily Deschanel has hinted that Bones could return for an 11th season.

Deschanel has starred as forensic anthropologist Bones Brennan in the Fox series since 2005, alongside David Boreanaz as FBI agent Seeley Booth.

The procedural drama has been a long-time component in Fox's primetime line-up, although there has been speculation that Bones could end this season.

Deschanel has now revealed that she would be interested in returning to Bones in the fall.

"I'm up for it," she told TV Line of a possible season 11.

She added: "I feel like there's still more to tell."

Her eagerness for another season of Bones was echoed by showrunner Stephen Nathan.

"We don't feel that the show lacks life or the characters lack places to go," Nathan explained. "[The signs] all seem to be telling us to keep going."

Fox executives expressed interest in a potential 11th season of Bones earlier in the year.

The series has received a pair of Primetime Emmy Award nominations and won two Genesis Awards from The Humane Society of the United States throughout its run on Fox.
