Answering the question, "It's undeniable that models are very thin, expected to be very thin, and thinner than 99.9 percent of the population. What message should you be sending out?"

The Cut reports that Vodianova said:

Come on, guys, > it's better to be skinny than to be fat! We eat well, we exercise — please, do the same and you will look like this. I'm sorry, but today the NHS [Britain's National Health Service] are fighting against obesity, children are taken away from their parents because they're too fat … And here we are, > defending that we are healthy and skinny.

My favorite part of that answer is when she says: "Please, do the same and you will look like this." Ummmm, I don't know about you, but I don't think I'll ever be 5'9" and a size 2-4, no matter how well I eat or how much I exercise... Anyway, moving on...

How does she avoid gaining weight? She says, simply: "If I eat like a pig, I feel like a pig."

I see. And what about the rest of us non-model-sized folks? Vodianova recommends the Blood Type Diet, which she says cured her of her digestion (and ulcer) problems. But, then again, it might be worth taking Vodianova's advice with a serious grain of salt—she also says that she had no issues with losing weight after her pregnancy: "I must say I actually came to [an event at] the V&A after giving birth to [my son] Victor, three days later, and I was wearing Givenchy Couture." and she is a magical athletic wonderwoman: "I run [a marathon] once a year; I don't train. It's true!"

So yeah.
