The Devil Wears Prada is one of our all-time favourite movies, and no matter how horrible fashion editor Miranda Priestley was to slave/assistant Andy Sachs, we always imagined that behind the scenes it was all hugs and kisses and DMCs (Deep Meaningful Conversations).

Not so, as Anne Hathaway has revealed that Meryl Streep was remarkably like her on-screen character during filming.

"When I met her she gave me a huge hug," Anne revealed on The Graham Norton Show. "I'm like, 'Oh my god, we are going to have the best time on this movie.' And then she's like, "Ah sweetie, that's the last time I'm nice to you.'"

"She then went into her trailer and came out the ice queen and that was really the last I saw of Meryl for months, until we promoted the film."

But Anne made sure to tell Graham that this was only because Meryl was staying in character between the scenes of the fashion movie.

"She's the most amazing, warm person," Anne said of Meryl, and also added that she would "love" to star in a sequel.

"Wouldn't that be fun? I'd love to do that," Anne enthused, before adding: "But I don't know if there is any plan for it."

Just a note to the film's producers: we would totally love to watch a sequel. Pretty please?
