NEW BEGINNINGS

This is a joyous time of the year. The earth is showing its beauty with the blooming of flowers and trees. The definition of green is displayed in all it’s spectacular shades. Have you ever seen so many different shades of green?

The smell of grass being cut and grills with the stimulating aroma of food. It’s a new awakening for our senses. Is there anything better than experiencing the smells of spring?

You hear the laughter of children outside playing and riding bicycles with the dog barking behind them. Can you recall the first few days of playing outside in the spring after shedding your coat? It was like being set free of weights so you could run and jump without restraints.

Then to, walk trails and feel the gentle breeze of the wind and the invigorating warmth of the sun pepping through the trees as you walk. What ideas do you have for celebrating spring?

There are so many celebrations as well as the beginning of graduations and new beginnings for so many people. Graduations are happening from pre-school, kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school, technical, associates, college, and university degrees. All are special and applauded for completing the rigorous tasks required to meet the goal. It is a time to pursue with all earnestness and diligence of a new adventure in your life. I do think the most humbling of all the graduations my husband and I attend were the preschool and kindergarten graduations. The little ones were so excited and proud and thankful that everyone was there. They all were applauded for their efforts and were surrounded with encouragement for their next journey.

They stood with tremendous effort to please their family and friends and walked with a quick pace almost a skip to get their diploma. It was truly lights, cameras, and action. At such a young age, they had become leaders of their little lives. They had a set a goal to reach and was now at the finish line of that part of their lives. They knew they were embarking upon bigger and greater things like tackling first grade. Can you recall that innocent thrill in your life?

All the graduates had conceived in their minds their aspirations and with all the intent of their hearts reached their goals. They strove toward the goal energetically for a purpose and with expectations of fruitful results. So congratulations to all the proud families, friends, and graduates.

GOAL:

Take the time to celebrate having the ability to see another spring and start your own new beginning with a fresh start to press toward the mark of Jesus Christ.

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 2:14
