Toyota has priced what it claims to be South Africa's most affordable car. The brand's latest promotion rebate can get you into the driver's seat of a Vitz for only R169 899. And nobody will argue against that value offering.  

What's different about Toyota's marketing effort with a "most affordable" car in the local market is that it isn't an affordability-first brand. There's a significant balance of the Toyota product portfolio which prices beyond R800 000.
