It is with great sadness that we share that our most beautiful wife, sister and aunt, Tracy Goodin (Payne), passed away on Saturday, September 30 th , 2023. She was born with an older soul than most, which allowed her to strike up conversation with the young and old and make instant connections. Always lending a compassionate ear and a willingness to help in any way, she brought the good in this world. She truly cared about mankind, ANIMALS and our planet. If you were lucky enough to know Tracy, you understood that she promoted healthful eating, mindfulness, resourcefulness and recycling. An artist, poet, caregiver, teacher, waitress (she loved this job especially!) and a giver, giver, giver… Tracy was a true empath who always worried about those around her, more than she concerned herself with what she may have needed. The time spent with her in-laws, nieces and nephews, especially on the water, is what she treasured most. Whether enjoying a simple story shared, as she laughed through tears, or chatting about deeper issues, she felt completely blessed for the genuine friendships she made in her life. She is loved by so many friends and animals – too many to count! We miss her so very much and hope that she found peace and is watching over us as the angel we’ve always known her to be. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gail Payne and James Payne and leaves behind her loving husband, Kevin Goodin, loving dog child, Holly, and her sisters, Andi Maurer and Jenn Christmann. Donations, in her memory, may be made to Pet Refuge, South Bend - https://www.petrefuge.com/.
A Celebration of Tracy’s Life is planned for a later date.
