Think one of my snails laid eggs on the glass last night

what do I do with it? Leave it as is, scrape it off?

My wife is under the impression that I should leave it, so we have baby snails. Not sure it works that way is what I told her.

I have had snail eggs before several times. I always left them, but they always disappear (eaten or hatched....don't know). I have never seen any ill effects from leaving them, but have never found baby snails myself.

I don't think the Cerith eggs will hatch on the glass, and I never saw anything eating them. I do scrape them off because they will get caught in my mag float if I don't. I have seen small Nerite snails, so I think they may be hatching on occasion.

In most cases they are eaten but I do have some baby snails in my tank so some could find a way. Tell your wife not to get her hopes up. Mine survives my 6 line wrasse so maybe.
