Victoria’s Secret unveils the velvet ‘panties that broke the internet’ … and people are going crazy for them
FROM boots to bedding, velvet has been the on-trend fashion fabric this year.
Now Victoria’s Secret have carried the look through to the undies, with a new range of velvet panties.
And fans of the brand are going wild for them.
The VS PINK undies, which come with a matching bralette, are soon to be released in stores in four shades – burgundy, blush, blue and black.
The post on the VS Twitter page dubbed the range: “The panties that broke the internet.”
It added: “Coming soon to all stores.”
A post about the underwear on Instagram received over 260,000 likes and 5,800 comments in its first five hours.
One fan wrote: “How soon is soon?”
Another added: “I NEED A MATCHING BRA, YALL. Please don't let me down!”
A third added: “Gunna need to buy me one in erry color. Dem sexy panties.”
Barbara wrote: “Broke the internet is an understatement! U can bet they're going to go just as fast in stores, get there fast!”

The company didn't release any more details but urged shoppers to "Stay tuned."
Not everybody thought velvet was a great idea as an undergarment and several pointed out the hygiene implications of the material.
One wrote: “No, velvet wouldn't be sweaty in the worst place. Not at all!”
