Ryan Reynolds, our favorite jokester, is back at it again! The actor is beginning the press tour for his upcoming sci-fi flick Life (yes, the movie is called Life—we hardly even know where to begin with that), which means we are going to be in for a whole lot of Reynolds antics over the next few weeks, everyone.

Reynolds is a big fan of his co-star in the movie, Jake Gyllenhaal, and even recruited him to crash his recent GQ video (the concept of which saw Reynolds interviewing himself). On Good Morning America Thursday, Reynolds went on about Gyllenhaal and their bond. “I’ve probably done almost 50 movies in 24 years, and every time you work with people, you’re like, ‘I’m gonna hang out with this guy all the time.’ And you never see them again.”

But that was decidedly not the case with Gyllenhaal!

“I think he’s easily the most interesting actor working in Hollywood today,” Reynolds said. “Definitely one of my favorites, and then at the same time, he’s one of the kindest guys I’ve ever met. We’re hanging out all the time. We live near each other. I live up in the 'burbs.”

We are going to take a short pause here to consider that Taylor Swift is a close friend of Blake Lively’s, and is known to spend time at the Reynolds-Lively compound, as well, which means there may have to be some careful maneuvering to avoid any run-ins of the famous latte-loving exes at Lively-Reynolds baking nights.

Reynolds also shared on the morning show that Gyllenhaal is an exceptional chef, managing to bring wife Lively into his explanation somehow.

“My wife is very good at cooking, and Jake might just be a little bit better. He can throw down. It gets very competitive.”

When told by host Michael Strahan that Lively probably wouldn’t love this mention, he, true to form, responded in jest: “I’m moving out at the end of the month. I’m actually moving out right now, under this desk. I’m already making plans.”
