FASHION dreams do come true - just ask Matthew Williamson, who celebrated 15 years in the industry this year and made a short film to commemorate the event.

"It's about the dreams of my 15-year-old self imagining this ethereal universe full of beautiful girls in these amazing dresses," explains the designer who enlisted the help of friends Sienna Miller, Poppy Delevingne and Valentine Fillol Cordier to make it. "I was also really thrilled to work with the amazing Andrea Riseborough too who plays my mum."

While Riseborough makes for a great cameo, don't expect to see her in this on the big screen - it's a small screen celebration in conjunction with Swarovksi and Net-A-Porter, which is where you can catch it next week when it launches online.

So, dreamy dresses aside, what advice stands out over the past 15 years and what he might tell his 15-year-old self now?

"Confidence and belief in yourself and your vision is absolutely paramount. The fashion industry is tough - be prepared to take advice and criticism along the way, but have unwavering belief in your vision," says Williamson.

And what's up for the big 2-0 when that hits?

"This is the next incredibly exciting time for the brand and we hope to take it to the next level. So ideally the big 2-0 will be bigger and better. I'm looking forward to now adding new layers to the DNA of our brand as we begin the next chapter in our story," he says.
