The phone came in the product box; no outer packing box. The box was falling apart. I had a Spectrum technician at my home for another issue. He also checked the phone and said it did not work.

I have to say the return was easy.

Only complaint is the ringer isn't very loud, it is not even noticable from upstairs (on loud setting). The phone is surprisingly heavy and seems durable. It was a bit static-ey at first but I think the wires were kinked from being packed into the box and once they loosened up there is no problem with sound. I like the phone, it is very nice to use and a unique addition to our victorian home.
