Great convertable car seat
AmiE· Review provided by Target · October 16, 2024
I really like the slim design of this convertible car seat and the fact that I will be able to use it for years to come. I bought this for my 9mo old because she has almost outgrown her infant car seat & i was looking for a mid price convertible car seat with high independent safety ratings. The fabric is soft & stain resistant & appears easy to clean. All of the covers snap on/off for quick & easy cleaning too. It has a lot of padding, but the mesh panels allow for airflow & temp regulation, which is much needed in the hot Vegas summer. The user manual was easy to understand to make installation a breeze, either with the latch system or seat belt installation. They also have instructions for each type of installation (rear, forward, booster) printed on the seat itself. The harness is super easy to adjust to the right height at their shoulders, just pull or push the headrest to one of 10 positions. Overall, I am very happy with this car seat & i would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a mid-price car seat that they want to use from older infant to big kid.

I have 4 of these car seats! 2 in my Nissan Armada and 2 in my husbands Toyota Tundra. I felt compelled to write my own review after reading all the negative ones online, because in my opinion this car seat deserves 5 stars! Mind you I’m that person who reads the manual, and in fact still have them in the back pocket holder of all 4 car seats . I only had an issue tightening the straps one time, I called Graco and come to find out there was food stuck below the seat within the strap compartment which had the strap in a bind. My kids are now 6 and 4 and I’ve had these seats for YEARS, in fact the only reason I was on the site was to review the standards for possibly changing to booster seat position. These are slim, reliable car seats that don’t break the bank. I moved my daughter to hers after she outgrew the infant carrier, my son has been in his since about 6 months. I do break them down and wash all the parts Occasionally. And I also blow them out with the compressed air at the car wash when I’m there (I’m a bit of a neat freak). In my opinion you cannot go wrong with these seats. I briefly used a Cicco and my daughter liked this Graco better because it has 2 cup holders. Currently my son just turned 4 and is 42lbs and my daughter is 6 and also 42-43 lbs.
What happened to Graco Quality?!

I own two of these seats. The light gray one has been used by my 14 month old for about 7months and my 2.5yr old switched to the purple Katrina from the regular slimfit one month ago. I have used Graco and the slimfit design since my 11.5yr old was born. They always held up great until now. The materials of these seats is easily snagged/ruined. I strongly dislike Velcro and I don’t give my babies sharp objects let alone while driving so I’m not sure how both seat cushions are worn and tattered looking with holes and snags. My 5yr old took over my daughters slimfit that she used for nearly 2.5yrs and it still looks great, no snags or holes anywhere. Due to having an accident and 4 kids, I have gone through 8 slimfit/slimfit LX seats and 2 graco infant carriers. Quality is not what it was before. If it weren’t for that alone, they fit like they should and function with ease. I won’t be getting rid of them, that’s just wasteful in itself, but I will be sad every time I look at them knowing how much I spent on them to not be durable.
Good seat! Read full review.

After ordering this seat I, of course, read several bad reviews stating this seat wasn’t safe, it can’t be tightened properly, and flips in rear facing position. I was worried at first but went through with it because I need to fit 3 seats across in my vehicle and this was my only option. I set the seat up in the living room and my son who is 37” and 33lbs fits comfortably, no issues there. I drive a 2019 Ford Edge for reference. I installed the seat after thoroughly reading the manual using the LATCH connection. I was able to get my recline and tighten it so the seat didn’t move more than 1” at the belt path. In the manual it states you can use a rolled towel if you can’t get the proper recline. I then installed the seat in the middle using the seat belt and was able to achieve proper installation as well. Perhaps this seat doesn’t work well in all vehicles, or maybe there was an installation error. I personally did not have any issues and am comfortable with my child in it from a safety standpoint.
