Fantastic Device
f1_sim_driver· Review provided by ebay.com · August 17, 2019
This is an optional device for charging the Casio GzOne C731 Rock phone. My phone has a problem with the side charging port not remaining connected to the charging cable. I found that Casio made these Cradles for the phone, so I bought one around 3 years ago. The phones charging cable plugs into the back of the cradle. When the phone is set into the cradle, it depresses a little lever in the seat of the cradle. This lever deploys two prongs within the side of the cradle. These prongs make contact with the two metal plates on the right side of the phone, allowing current to flow to the batteries for recharge, Without this cradle I'd be unable to charge my phone. I bought a second one to keep in my travel bag so as to always have one with me when I'm away from home. These cradles are very inexpensive now and I'd recommend them to everyone that has one of these phones. Even if you are not having a problem with the normal charging port in your phone, its well worth having one (or more) of these cradles due to its simple, rugged, easy to use design.

Well I would like to point out a few facts about all of casio's problems. After doing a lot of research before I bought my Rock and several friends who had a casio rock. My conclusion and experence seams about average the Rock had many many problems as did mine. So I continued with hope and purchased a Brigade I loved the idea of these phones. So Ask your self Why do you think the rock was replaced so fast by casio with the Ravine? Because casio was trying to sell its troubled cell phone division and finally made Hitachi a deal it couldnot refuse.. Durring this time,, development and customer service suffered greatly it was not sure that casio would even continue making cell phones at all after Verizons contracts expired. Why do you think the Rock was replaced with the Ravine ? Because the rush to fix the Rock disaster to show casio division was worth buying pumped out the Ravine during this time no effort was directed towards the brigade, exilum or the new Ravien problems. So rush rush rush here comes the Ravien2. And same thing all over again they fixed everything that was not broken and ignored what was broken? WHY ? because all of the effort was to rush out a Smartphone which was the new market. smartphones as a whole were estimated to be 68% to 72 % of the cell phone market by the end of 2011. So here comes the comamndo and again its a bottom preformer with no thrills or anything to be exictied over slow frezze ups and battrie pulls. Sales numbers are terrible, problems continue to plage it and so on. The commando was to be the savior and put casio phones back up the ladder but so far its not. its a shame,,, the problems each of these phones has could have been fixed the concept and design are really good they just dropped the ball on the software ,,,,,, again and again,,,, and again! Read the reviews of the old casio phones from the Rock backwards and you will see what I am saying.
Best phone that is a phone ever made!!

This is a great phone. I have had this model for over 2 years now. I dont know where i would be without it. I love the very bright flashlight and use it everyday. I live in the jungles of hawaii and the fact that this is water proof is the greatest thing. i have drug this phone in mud puddles, grease from working on cars, working on heavy machinery. I drop this phone i would guess at least 20-30 times a day and it still works great. I love the reception that this phone has as well. It out preforms every other verizon phone that i have had and that other i know have when it comes to working in places with bad service. I dont use the internet, music features, or much else besides the camera, texting, and phone calls. Camera takes good pictures. This is the upgrade from the casio boulder. I had the boulder before this phone, and i really like it better. one major thing is that when you drop the rock, the microSD card doesnt come loose. that was a major problem with the bolder. All in all i am very happy with this phone, and i just bought this one for my wife to upgrade her boulder. I recommend it to anyone that is looking for a phone, that is a phone!!
Very rugged phone

The phone is really rugged. In my engineering class I placed it in a bowl of water. We then called my phone and it still worked! I've thrown it across my room to prove how strong it is. It's INDESTRUCTIBLE! There are barely any scratches on it! There is one flaw: the software. Why does verizon contract Casio to build indestructible phones, yet program it with terrible software? The network speed is incredible. It downloads media faster than any phone I've used. However for a messaging phone the processing is weak. Sometimes when I get into texting the phone will shut off when messaging too much. To fix this all I do is turn the phone off for a few minutes. When I turn it back on, it always works perfectly for several hours. Likewise, because it is waterproof it means that nothing gets in or out. When you put that much padding on a phone some sound will be compromised. Granted Casio compensated by putting in one of the loudest and highest quality speakers I've ever heard in a cell phone, however the microphone is difficult to work with. You have to absolutely make sure the microphone is level with the corner of your mouth. Otherwise they cant hear you. Once you figure out how to talk into it, its is incredibly easy to use and truly an amazing phone. The only "real" problem is with the texting. However, this phone has been out for a while now, so soon Verizon should be releasing a software update for the phone which will hopefully fix the occasional text overload the phone can get. This is a great phone and I'll never buy another!
