On Thursday, July 23, Ambassador Karl-Otto König participated in the first conference of a cycle organized by the Uruguayan Council for International Relations (CURI) dedicated to examining Uruguay's strategy of external insertion in the context of the regional situation and of Mercosur.

The conference specifically dealt with the subject of the European Union - Mercosur Association Agreement and was developed using the Zoom platform.

Ambassador König made an initial presentation giving the European vision on the subject, and then opening a space for interaction, dialogue and questions.

The EU-Mercosur Association Agreement is one of the central axes of this cycle of conferences, given the importance it has for Uruguay.
